The Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) China Commodity Exhibition (MCTE) has been held annually since 2017, aiming to strengthen economic and trade exchanges between Chinese enterprises and countries along the “Belt and Road” initiative, seize RCEP opportunities, and steadily promote high-quality development of foreign trade. Approved by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), MCTE is jointly organized by the China International Exhibition Center Group Co., Ltd. (CIEC) and the Guangzhou Convention & Exhibition Service Center Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Gagasan Jalur Sutera (M) Sdn Bhd (Silk Road Concept (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd). The exhibition has been successfully held for seven sessions, adopting a model of regional grouping and industryspecific exhibition zones. Since 2019, it has exceeded 20,000 square meters for four consecutive sessions, making MCTE the most influential Chinese specialized exhibition event in the local area.

The 7th Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) China Commodities Exhibition (MCTE) successfully concluded on September 27, 2025. Despite multiple challenges, this year’s MCTE bucked the trend and delivered an impressive economic and trade performance. It secured procurement orders worth over 10 million RMB in the real estate supply chain, helped exhibitors connect with more than 3,000 new customers, and over 90% of exhibitors reported substantial gains.

As an international large-scale exhibition supported by the governments of China and Malaysia, the event has been selected for the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce's 2026 "Yue Trade Global" program, the Shanxi Provincial Department of Commerce's 2026 "Thousand Enterprises, Hundred Exhibitions" program, as well as the key supported exhibition lists of the Commerce Departments of Jiangxi Province, Chongqing Municipality, Henan Province, and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Eligible exhibitors may apply for subsidies in accordance with local policies, effectively reducing the costs of going global and helping enterprises explore the Malaysian market.
